A Message from Dr. Adams
Thank you for visiting my newly-developed web page. I am excited about the opportunity to offer you information about my abilities and experience in veterinary reproductive medicine. As a brief history, my love of animals has been a lifelong affair and I can attest that my veterinary interests have existed for longer than I can remember. I am reminded of the journals I was asked to fill out for every year of my elementary schooling that monitored my progression and maturity. I can recall that each included the age-old question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Without fail, my reply was consistent…a veterinarian. And although I have held numerous second occupations throughout the years, one thing has remained constant: my primary career - and primary focus – veterinary medicine.
In 2000, I was privileged to be asked to spend three months as an intern mentoring with Dr. Robert V. Hutchison of Animal Clinic Northview, Inc. This opportunity has allowed me to experience more than just semen collection and storage, the wide varieties of inseminating, DNA testing, and puppy evaluations, but has given me real world experience dealing with owners and listening to their concerns. Following this experience, my resolve was ever stronger to work with and promote the unique characteristics of each purebred dog.
I received training from Dr. George Govette, founder and developer of CLONE. In addition to veterinary reproduction, I have been a steadfast supporter of animal rescue and fostering. I have been active in these activities for a number of breeds including Basset Hounds, Pekingese and Lhasa Apsos. In addition, I have also volunteered my services to perform cosmetic surgery on animals, making them more appealing to prospective owners. I have spayed and neutered many animals for no cost and have even transported them from one state to another to find good homes. Thru these organizations, I have spent hours on the phone to prospective rescue owners and to owners that need their animals rescued from the situations they are in.
In closing, I want to thank you again for visiting my home on the Internet. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your "best friend."
Best Regards,
Dr. Julia Adams
